Good morning-
I wanted to communicate to all parents/staff/students about the importance of school attendance before the Winter Break begins. In the past, we have had many families request to leave early. As a school staff; we have to honor our contact days with students. They are so important that we continue to follow our core beliefs. EVERYONE must be committed to excellence in ALL they do EVERY day. We need to do our best to educate our students up until the last day of winter break. This is important for all parents/guardians and educators.
How important is attendance? The attendance rate is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It's difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent.
FINALS IN ALL CLASSES-
I am highly encourage each classroom teacher to give a final the week of December 18th-20th. This will help culminate the knowledge that was taught in the last 15 weeks. It is important to check for understanding for students and teachers. Teachers like to us this data n their SB 191 rubric. Please communicate to your BLT members (Rosa, Linda, Ruthie, Luis, Kevin, Katrina, Steve, Mark or Jan) if you want to give a final that is longer than the allotted period. We will be creating a schedule for NWEA and the final week.

Prep for BLT meeting
AD meeting in Alamosa
Back for restorative practices meeting
Quick walk through coaching in the afternoon
Thursday-
Coaching walkthroughs
Meeting with a parent/child who wants to transfer
BLT meeting 6th hour
Communicate to students about NWEA rewards
Basketball vs. Rocky Ford
Friday and Saturday-
VAA and MS tournaments (all day)
