About a month or two ago I was asked if I(Center Schools Art) wanted to participate in a traveling mural project (100 ft silk mural). This project would be done in collaboration with as many schools as possible from the San Luis Valley. The Bad -only thee school agreed on Participating, Crestone, Saguache and Center. The Good, this gives the students more workable area to explore let loose and communicate as much as they wish about the topic in this traveling mural. The project should communicate the importance of water and how we as people, nature and life cross paths with this great element.

We have met three times in saguache to collaborate as to what we want depicted in this mural.

I wanted to share some pictures of students collaborating, brainstorming and even speaking about their ideas and thoughts on what they think should go on the mural.

We will meet again this Friday and Saturday and begin the silk mural.
