Visit With Commissioner of Education

I was fortunate to spend some time with the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Katy Anthes (pictured on the left) at the Superintendent's Advisory Council meeting today. Dr. Anthes made a special trip to the SLV to visit with Superintendents across the valley to see what it is that we are needing in rural Colorado. Topics included were:

Rural school funding

New legislation around the Claire Davis Act and increased school accountability

Statewide evaluation system

Unfunded mandates
