Open House 16-17

Good Evening All!

I have always heard it said, “It takes a village”… What we have here is an amazing community and we are working with many children. I am always amazed by just how hard everyone works to pull off yet another outstanding and fun evening for our students, parents and community.

I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in this community with such an amazing, hardworking and caring staff as we have here in Center. I want to first start off by saying a BIG THANK YOU to all of our parents, students and community members who were able to attend tonight’s open house. I enjoyed the many conversations but most importantly I appreciate you taking the time out of your evening to join us.

Thank you…

• Mr. Hawkins for once again planning this event and working the microphone as you do so well.

• Ms. Alfson and Ms. Banning for organizing all of the Vendors. (Mr. Jones gets credit too for bringing in Boettcher at the last minute.)

• Mrs. Ruggles and all of her crew who organized and collected all of the wonderful prizes that were handed out.

• Mrs. Valenzuela, Mrs. Segura and Mrs. Garcia for preparing and helping serve tonight’s meal.

• Mr. Brandt along with all of the custodians for setting up and cleaning up afterwards.

• Ms. Alfson and her Culinary Arts class who helped prepare some delicious side dishes.

• Mr. Haddican, Mr. Selby and Mr. Murillo for stepping in and serving drinks.

• Mrs. Rounds for keeping the table stocked with food.

• Our amazing CCSD teachers and staff who also brought side dishes and continue to provide a caring and positive learning environment for every student.

Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for a fun filled and pleasant evening. I appreciate all that each of you do for the students of Center. Truly a pleasure to be working with you.
